"A Second of Action; an Image Forever" Nanook and other muscle powered sports We are committed to capturing the action - a goal in hockey, the kill in volleyball and the 3-pointer in basketball that demonstrates both the team work necessary to be effective and the individual performance required for success. We typically shoot up to 300 images per game to highlight the performance of most if not all players and the plays critical to the game's outcome. We usually shoot from 2 to 5 athletic events per weekend and can have press release photos digitally available within 1-2 hours of the game, quicker if necessary. We typically review and process all images within 24 hours of the end of the game. Images of the events we cover can be found at www.alaskasportsphoto.photoreflect.com. Images from the Alaska Nanooks can also be found at www.uafhockey.com in smaller web quality format. Our images are regularly used on the University of Alaska Fairbanks web site. We can handle complex tournaments and events. On an annual basis we cover the University of Alaska Fairbanks' "Top Of The World" Men's basketball tournament, an invitational tournament comprised of 7 Division I teams and the Alaska Nanooks. We shoot 12 games in 3 & 1/2 days - Thursday evening to Sunday evening and close to 4,000 images using a Canon 1 D Mk II and Elinchrom strobes. For this and similar events we engage a photo editor to insure that images are processed and archived in real time. This also allows us to provide images via wireless to SIDs from courtside. Writers can then have digital images to accompany their stories at the completion of the game. We have just recently contracted with the Fairbanks Grizzlies of the Intense Football League to be the team photographer. While we make team and individual player pictures and cover major press conferences our primary focus is game photography which includes not only game action shots but also the dance team, audience competitions and crowd shots as well. We can travel to meet your needs anywhere in Alaska and the "lower" states. We've shot in athletic venues in Colorado Springs CO, Omaha NE, Detroit MI (Joe Louis Arena), Lansing MI and Notre Dame among others. We are prepared to process images on site and provide services on our usual timelines. We are committed to continually enhancing our capabilities both in equipment - cameras and lenses - and professional skills to more effectively meet your photographic needs. We cover corporate and club events and can set up a portrait station with strobes and backgrounds if you wish more formal images. WHY ALASKA SPORTS PHOTOGRAPHY Alaska Sports Photography is a small but experienced business. We have extensive experience in shooting hockey, basketball and volleyball and have shot cross country, swimming, football, baseball and lacrosse among other sports as well.
